We started Luminary in 2024 with a simple, perhaps naive belief: that people still want to read long-form, rigorous writing if it respects their intelligence and their time.
In an internet ecosystem increasingly dominated by algorithmically generated content designed to provoke outrage or harvest clicks, we wanted to build a sanctuary for slow thinking. We believe that complex problems cannot be summarized in a tweet, and that the intersection of technology, art, and culture requires careful, patient observation.
